When it was first announced that Andre 3000 would be playing the role of rock and roll icon Jimi Hendrix, many people weren’t sure what to expect. One thing is for sure, the Outkast member certainly got the look down down pat.
Several photos leaked off of the set last year, but Spin has the first official pic (above).
The biopic will tell the story of Jimi’s early years in the business before he found worldwide fame. It will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September.
