Vuyo Mvoko was about to do a live segment from outside the Milpark hospital in Johannesburg, where the president of Zambia, Edgar Lungu, is reported to be undergoing treatment, when the incident occurred last night (Tuesday evening).
Mvoko, who works for the national broadcaster, SABC, said afterwards that the men threatened him with a gun when he refused to hand over his mobile phone.
Vuyo Mvoko after the mugging incident said the men took two or three phones off him and the crew, as well as a laptop.
